Taperoo Dunes Walk

Members of the Taperoo Dunes Group invite you to visit the newly installed signs featuring Native Plants Birds and Animals at the Lady Gowrie Drive walkway adjacent to the Taperoo car park.
After winning a Place Making Grant from the City of Port Adelaide Enfield, Taperoo Dunes Group members swung into action and selected 15 plants birds and animals native to the dunes ecosystem to feature on signs to be installed along the fence line.
Each sign features photography by group members – mostly taken by Kym Murphy who is well known for his outstanding natural photography.
Each photograph is taken at the Taperoo Dunes. The signs give the common name and scientific name, and some text about each of the subjects.
The text was researched and written by Julie Colburn, with assistance by Alison Sloley and Kym Murphy.
We hope visitors to the Taperoo Dunes Walk enjoy the signs and spend a little time at the Dunes appreciating our little patch. New members are always welcome. We meet on Mondays for an hour from 9 am.
